Our Beginnings
Founded originally in 1975 as Double Lion Electrical & Plumbing Services, DLE M&E Pte Ltd started out as a relatively small business. It then became privatised in 1980 taking on the name Double Lion Electrical Pte Ltd.
By 2004, DLE was awarded the prestigious SME 500 status in Singapore and had grown into an exceptional one-stop mechanical and electrical contracting firm for our quality minded clients. Since 2005, DLE has been registered as a Qualified Electrical Contractor with the Association of Consulting Engineers / The Institution of Engineers, Singapore.
In 2009, Double Lion Electrical Pte Ltd’s name was changed to DLE M&E Pte Ltd to better reflect our capability and commitment to becoming an integrated one-stop M&E contracting firm for our clients. Being an integrated contractor enables us to provide seamless M&E project coordination for our clients so that they do not need to liaise with different parties with regard to M&E services.
In 2010, DLE was awarded the SME Growth Excellence Award by DP Information Group. In 2013, DLE was ranked 5th for Enterprise 50 Awards, co-organised by KPMG and the Business Times. In the same year, we were accorded the Building & Construction Authority of Singapore (BCA) Construction Productivity Award – Advocates (Merit) to recognise our effort in pushing for productivity from within. In 2015 and 2016, DLE received the BCA BIM Award – Project Category (GoldPlus) award for its participation using Building Information Modelling (BIM) as Specialist Contractor for the project Amber Skye and Commonwealth Towers respectively.
Today, with over 35 years of experience, DLE has catapulted into a BCA registered firm with the highest L6 grading in Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration & Ventilation Works, Electrical Engineering and Integrated Building Services workheads. With a staff strength of over 300, DLE specialises in both mechanical and electrical related projects across a wide spectrum of industries. With these, DLE continues to pursue excellence in our services, solutions, processes and customer service, to deliver the best to and for our customers.
The quality of our workmanship in recent projects has been rated among the highest against BCA’s Construction Quality Assessment System (CONQUAS 21), a national yardstick for performance. We have also achieved ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 22301 and bizSAFE Star status, indicating our achievement of international and national standards on quality and business continuity assurance, environmental concerns, health and safety management. Passionate about our work, we continue to push fervently towards higher levels of achievement to always stay relevant in today’s dynamic construction industry.
